Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Associate Engineering Intern to join our Grid team for a summer 2027 start. You will work with senior engineers on transmission and distribution projects, applying Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering concepts.

You will assist in calculations and designs, help track project progress, prepare procurement documents, and gain exposure to power systems. The role offers a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two remote days, fostering

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a bachelor or master degree in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• Relevant coursework in civil, geotechnical, strength of materials, statics, or electrical power.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Work on project reporting, tracking progress and data evaluation.
• Be involved in power designs and procurement documentation for major equipment and installation services.
