Job summary

Sargent & Lundy invites ambitious students to join as an Associate Intern in our Grid business unit, supporting senior engineers on transmission and distribution projects. You will contribute to calculations, designs, and project reporting while gaining exposure to procurement documents for major equipment and installations.

The internship follows a hybrid model with three days in the office and two days remote, starting in summer 2027.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in BS or MS in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with a strong academic background.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Self-starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Work on project reporting, tracking activities, progress, and data.
• Be involved in power designs and documents/specifications for procurement of major equipment and services.
