Job summary

Sargent & Lundy’s Grid business unit in the United States is offering an Associate Engineering Intern position with a target start date in summer 2027. You will join a project team and assist senior engineers in the execution of their project work across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines.

The internship involves preparing engineering calculations, specifications, and designs, plus project reporting and procurement documents for major equipment and installations.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a BS or MS in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with a strong academic background.
• Candidates pursuing other engineering degrees may be considered if they have relevant coursework in civil, geotechnical, strength of materials, statics, or electrical power.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or co-op experience in our business area is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Work on project reporting tasks, tracking progress and data evaluation.
• Be involved in power designs and preparation of documents for procurement of major equipment and structures.
