Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Englewood, CO offers an Associate Engineering Intern role within the Grid business unit. You'll work on project teams, assisting senior engineers on transmission and distribution projects, with design, calculations, and documentation tasks.

Hybrid schedule: three days in the office and two remote. Enrolled BS/MS students in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering are invited to apply; a strong academic record and independent work style preferred.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in BS or MS in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Relevant coursework in civil, geotechnical, strength of materials, statics, or electrical power.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Self-starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Work on project reporting, tracking progress and data evaluation.
• Be involved in power designs and preparation of documents for procurement of major equipment, structures, and installation services.
