Job summary

Westlake Financial is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the Great Lakes region. This hands-on leadership role oversees 10–15 Dealer Account Managers, travels within the region, and drives growth by building dealer relationships and expanding Westlake’s market share in auto finance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of external sales management experience, strong communication skills, and a track record of achieving targets in automotive finance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years external sales management experience managing a team of 15 to 20 external reps.
• Demonstrated experience in Automotive, Finance and Sales.
• Bachelor's degree in business or a closely related field.
• High energy and with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and various sales software applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Dealer Account Managers to drive individual and regional performance.
• Manage outside sales teams across the Great Lakes Region, that extends from Minnesota to Ohio.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new sales representatives.
• Drive new business by developing dealer relationships and selling company products and services.
• Establish sales goals, develop action plans, and hold the team accountable for results.
• Monitor performance through regular quality checks, coaching, reporting, and follow-up.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective dealers while addressing and resolving concerns.
• Develop strategies to increase dealer retention and reduce attrition.
• Represent the company at recruiting, marketing, trade, and industry events.
• Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to support the team, develop dealer relationships, and drive market growth.
