Job summary

BDO USA seeks a Manager, Outsourced Finance & Accounting to oversee end-to-end outsource engagements for Government Contracting clients. You will handle proposal development, staff oversight, and client relationship management, ensuring timely billing and resolution of client issues.

You will supervise associates, ensure GAAP compliance, and guide budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support executive decisions. Strong knowledge of FAR/CAS/DCAA and GovCon systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, required.
• Six (6) or more years of progressive accounting experience, including three (3) or more years of leading accounting teams in a government contracting environment, required.
• CPA or CPA candidate, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and manage all accounting functions (GL, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, cash management, indirect rate calculation, GovCon project accounting).
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Ensure revenue recognition, complex contract accounting, and maintain accounting policies per GovCon regulations.
