Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Manager, Outsourced Finance & Accounting, to lead government contracting accounting engagements. You will oversee close processes, GAAP compliance, and client financial reporting, while guiding associates and ensuring profitable project performance.

Responsibilities include budgeting, rate calculations, and ensuring adherence to FAR/CAS/DCAA. Strong ERP experience and CPA or CPA candidacy are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Six+ years of progressive accounting experience with 3+ years in team leadership in GovCon.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office; advanced Excel skills required.
• Experience with GovCon ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, PROCAS.

Responsibilities

• Manage full life cycle of outsourced finance & accounting engagements.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close and GAAP financial statements.
• Ensure revenue recognition, contract accounting, and policies per GovCon rules.
• Maintain DCAA-compliant accounting systems; monitor indirect rates.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for decisions.
