Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Manager, Outsourced Finance & Accounting to lead the full lifecycle of outsourced engagements for Government Contracting clients. You will manage proposals, staff assignments, and review final work while maintaining relationships with clients.

You will oversee GAAP-compliant close processes, ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, and DCAA, and guide indirect rate planning, project costing, and profitability analysis to support executive decisions.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leading teams in GovCon
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; advanced Excel skills
• Experience with GovCon ERP systems (Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, PROCAS) preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of government contracting finance & accounting engagements
• Develop proposals and assign staff; review final work
• Maintain client relationships and provide financial management recommendations
• Ensure GAAP-compliant statements and close processes
• Maintain compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA and gov contracting regs
• Oversee indirect cost structures, billing rates, and project costs
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for executives
• Train and supervise Associates and Senior Associates
