Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Manager, Outsourced Finance & Accounting to lead the full lifecycle of GovCon finance engagements. You will oversee proposals, staffing, and project profitability while managing client relationships, reporting, and billing.

You will direct close processes, GAAP-compliant statements, and ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA, and GovCon requirements. Strong leadership, communication, and ERP system experience are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of progressive accounting experience, including three or more years leading accounting teams in government contracting.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, PROCAS.

Responsibilities

• Understand and manage all accounting functions including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, cash management, indirect rate calculation, and GovCon project accounting.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition, complex contract accounting, and maintenance of accounting policies per GovCon regulations.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA, and federal contracting regulations while maintaining a DCAA-compliant accounting system.
• Oversee indirect cost structures, provisional billing rates, and forward pricing support.
• Oversee project setup, funding, labor charging, contract modifications, invoicing, cost allocations, profitability, and closeout.
