Job summary

BDO USA seeks a Manager, Outsourced Finance & Accounting to oversee the full lifecycle of government contracting finance engagements. Responsibilities include proposal development, staff assignment and oversight, and client relationship management with regular financial reporting.

You will ensure GAAP compliance, complex contract accounting, indirect rate calculations, and regulatory adherence (FAR, CAS, DCAA). Leads budgeting and profitability analysis to support executive decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
• Six (6) or more years of progressive accounting experience, including three (3) or more years of leading accounting teams in a government contracting environment.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; advanced Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees full-life cycle of outsourced finance & accounting engagements for GovCon clients.
• Manages proposal development, staff assignment, and final work product review.
• Maintains client relationships, reports financial information, and supports financial management decisions.
• Ensures GAAP compliance, revenue recognition, and contract accounting per FAR, CAS, and DCAA.
• Oversees budgeting, forecasting, and indirect rate planning.
