Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Systems Engineer in the Guidance, Navigation, and Control domain to support missile programs. You will help evaluate, design, implement, and integrate embedded software algorithms for GNC systems, with a focus on navigation, estimation, and tracking performance.

The role involves CFD-driven aerodynamics analysis, wind tunnel validation, and collaboration within an integrated product team to deliver high-assurance software and simulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, physics, mathematics, or related STEM.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and/or Object-Oriented design and Linux.
• Experience with GNC systems, modeling & simulation techniques, digital and/or modern control systems, dynamics, Kalman filter design, signal processing (EO/IR or RF), navigation systems, sensors (IMU/GPS), and algorithms including APNT and CFD.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, design, implement, and integrate embedded software algorithms for guidance, navigation, and control.
• Characterize aerodynamics via CFD and wind tunnel testing; design and optimize guidance, tracking, navigation, and estimation algorithms.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers in an integrated product team for tactical embedded software, firmware, and six-degree-of-freedom simulations.
