Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Systems Engineer – Guidance, Navigation, and Control to help evaluate, design, implement, and integrate embedded software algorithms for current and upcoming missile programs.

In GNC, you will work with CFD, wind tunnel data, and six degree-of-freedom simulations to meet performance goals, collaborating with an integrated product team on tactical software, firmware, and sensors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, physics, mathematics, or related STEM field.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and/or Object-Oriented design and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with GNC systems, modeling & simulation techniques, digital and/or modern control systems, dynamics, Kalman filter design, signal processing (electro-optical, infrared, or active/passive RF), navigation systems, sensors (IMU/GPS), and algorithms, including APNT and CFD.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, design, implement, and integrate embedded software algorithms for GNC systems.
• Characterize system aerodynamics through CFD and wind tunnel testing.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers on tactical embedded software, firmware, and six degree-of-freedom simulations.
