Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer in Tucson, AZ to support missile programs in the Guidance, Navigation, and Control domain. You will help evaluate, design, implement, and integrate embedded software algorithms.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering or related STEM, experience with MATLAB/Python/C/C++, and familiarity with GNC, CFD, Kalman filters, and sensors. On-site work with security clearance required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, physics, mathematics, or related STEM field.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and/or Object-Oriented design and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with GNC systems, modeling & simulation techniques, digital/modern control systems, dynamics, Kalman filter design, signal processing (IMU/GPS), navigation sensors, and APNT/ CFD.

Responsibilities

• Support evaluation, design, implementation, and integration of embedded software algorithms.
• Characterize system aerodynamics with CFD and wind tunnel tests; design and optimize guidance, tracking, navigation, and timing algorithms.
• Collaborate with an integrated product team on tactical embedded software, firmware, and simulations to meet performance requirements.
