Job summary

RTX is hiring for a Systems Engineer II - Guidance, Navigation, and Control in Tucson, AZ. You will help evaluate, design, implement, and integrate embedded software algorithms for missile systems, collaborating with an agile team to deliver flight software and 6-DoF simulations that meet performance requirements.

The role requires a STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, plus MATLAB/Python/C/C++ skills and the ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field plus at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in GNC, Signal Processing, and/or Modeling/Simulation.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and/or object-oriented programming.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test embedded flight code for missile systems.
• Perform system-level performance analyses to guide capability development and obsolescence management.
• Lead backlog creation and planning in an Agile framework.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to efficient program execution.
• Support missile performance analyses including model development and Monte Carlo assessments.
