Job summary

Calculated Hire is seeking an experienced Tester Consultant to support a large-scale WFM/WFS and Time & Attendance implementation in Houston. You will execute detailed test scripts, validate country-specific requirements, and work with Test Leads and SMEs to ensure payroll readiness.

The role covers functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing across multiple regions, with emphasis on high-volume testing, defect tracking, and clear communication of risks and progress to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in software testing, functional testing, or UAT.
• Hands-on testing of WFM, WFS, or Time & Attendance systems.
• Strong knowledge of timekeeping, overtime calculations, and payroll rules.
• Experience writing and executing detailed test scripts and cases.
• Ability to translate requirements into validated system functionality.
• Proven defect identification, documentation, and root-cause analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication for high-volume testing.

Responsibilities

• Execute detailed test scripts, scenarios, and test cases for global WFM/WFS deployments.
• Validate Time & Attendance functionality against business requirements and blueprints.
• Test employee classifications, overtime rules, payroll calculations, and country configs.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing across regions.
• Document expected vs. actual results with evidence for SMEs and tech teams.
• Identify, document, and communicate defects and potential root causes.
• Support defect resolution, retesting, and regression to validate fixes.
• Escalate critical issues impacting readiness or functionality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to report progress, risks, and mitigations.
