Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Global Turnaround Scheduler SME located in the Gulf Coast region to provide global scheduling expertise and governance across Dow’s turnaround programs.

This role partners with OTEC, site turnaround teams and leadership to improve readiness and execution within FEL and execution phases. The ideal candidate will lead major events ($30MM+), drive readiness reviews, and advance scheduling discipline through training, networks, and performance oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 5 years of relevant experience OR 10 years of turnaround execution and project controls will be considered.
• Deep knowledge of Primavera, Scheduling software and turnaround work processes.
• Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% annually.

Responsibilities

• Own and govern Dow's global turnaround scheduling operating discipline, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, work processes, and governance requirements.
• Provide scheduling leadership and support to turnaround teams, particularly for major turnaround events ($30MM+), to improve readiness and execution performance.
• Assess turnaround compliance, readiness, and health throughout FEL and execution phases, identifying risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead and participate in readiness reviews, challenge sessions, and gate reviews to ensure critical deliverables and milestones are achieved before execution.
• Develop recommendations and drive actions to address readiness deficiencies, reduce risk, and improve turnaround outcomes.
• Own the global turnaround scheduler qualification curriculum, supporting training, coaching, mentoring, and scheduler development activities.
• Lead global scheduler networks, promote best practices, and serve as a trusted advisor to turnaround teams throughout the turnaround lifecycle.
• Support turnaround execution by monitoring performance, applying PERA-based risk management principles, resolving critical issues, and enabling decisions that support safety, schedule, cost, quality, and reliability objectives.
• Capture and incorporate lessons learned while driving continuous improvement, standardization, and operational discipline across Dow turnaround processes and governance practices.
• Lead the evaluation of emerging technologies, AI-enabled solutions, benchmarking efforts, and industry best practices to advance turnaround scheduling capability and performance across Dow.
