Job summary

Cogent Communications is a multinational Tier 1 ISP seeking a regional sales professional to identify new business opportunities within a prescribed territory, targeting IP Transit, Content providers/hosts, carriers/wholesalers, and Netcentric companies. By direct calling, email, and meetings, you will identify, qualify, and generate opportunities while collaborating with Key Decision Makers.

Onsite meetings supplement outreach to close deals and grow revenue.

Qualifications

• 3-8+ years of solid B2B telecom sales experience with collocation, wholesale, and data transit.
• Proven hunter with a track record of quota attainment and sales success.
• Strong written and verbal communication; CRM experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a prescribed Regional Sales Territory via sourcing and hunting.
• Qualify and generate opportunities by direct calling, email, and meeting with Key Decision Makers.
• Complement prospecting with onsite customer meetings as needed.
• Use consultative selling to position connectivity solutions for current and future needs.
• Leverage Cogent’s global footprint to support customers and prospects.
