Job summary

Cogent Communications is seeking an experienced in-office Sales Professional in Atlanta to identify and develop new business opportunities in IP Transit, content providers, carriers, and wholesale markets. You will engage key decision makers via calls and emails, qualify opportunities, and drive revenue with Cogent’s global network footprint.

Developed relationships, negotiated terms, and positioned our connectivity solutions while meeting quotas in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• 3–8+ years of B2B sales experience in telecom with collocation, wholesale and data transit/transport.
• Proven track record in direct hunting, B2B sales and quota attainment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a prescribed Regional Sales Territory and global markets.
• Qualify and generate new business through direct outreach to Key Decision Makers.
• Conduct onsite customer meetings as needed to advance deals and partnerships.
• Position Cogent services to meet client connectivity needs using the global network footprint.
