Job summary

Cogent Communications is seeking an experienced in-office Regional Sales role in Atlanta to identify and win new business opportunities in telecom IP transit and related services. You will pursue prospects, qualify opportunities, and meet with decision makers to showcase Cogent’s global network footprint.

The position emphasizes hunting for new business, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• 3–8+ years B2B sales experience in telecom with collocation, wholesale and data transit/transport.
• Proven track record of direct hunting and quota achievement.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and generate new business through prospecting and research.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• CRM experience and familiarity with MS Office.
• College degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a regional sales territory and global segments.
• Qualify and generate opportunities via direct calling, email, and outreach to Key Decision Makers.
• Supplement prospecting with onsite customer meetings as needed.
• Position Cogent services leveraging the global network footprint of data centers and colocation facilities.
