Job summary

Cogent Communications is seeking a sales leadership role to hire, train and develop a regional/global team focused on DIA, Ethernet Point-to-Point, Colocation and IP Transit sales. The role emphasizes meeting revenue targets and pipeline management.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Cogent product sales, strong leadership, and travel readiness to support regional and national markets. In-office presence is required five days a week, with opportunities for growth and

Qualifications

• Proven track record of success selling Cogent’s product set.
• Experience finding new business and expanding the customer base.
• Strong team leadership, coaching and management experience.
• A college degree is preferred.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and PC-based applications such as Word and Excel is a must.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and develop a diverse team of AMs for DIA, Ethernet Point-to-Point, Colocation and IP Transit sales.
• Drive and exceed sales revenue and productivity objectives.
• Manage and utilize pipeline management for each sales rep.
• Focus on time management to meet goals and metrics for AMs.
