Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager — Technology Consultant for EY Global Payroll Operate (GPO). This client-facing technology lead role drives implementation of EY payroll tech solutions, coordinating across business, implementation, data, testing and product teams.

You’ll translate client payroll requirements into clear technical specs and ensure delivery aligns with global standards. You’ll engage in workshops, design discussions, and documentation, bridging clients and configurators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, business, eng, MIS or related field preferred.
• Experience with global payroll platforms, HR tech ecosystems, or managed payroll service delivery models.
• Approved technical certification is required.
• Project management experience.
• Familiarity with DigiPay, Payroll Command Centre, workflow and integration components.
• Experience with Agile/Waterfall/hybrid delivery approaches.
• SAP US payroll implementation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technology point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders on GPO technology topics.
• Lead client-facing workshops, discovery sessions and design discussions to gather and validate requirements.
• Explain GPO technology capabilities, constraints and delivery expectations to stakeholders across HR, Payroll, IT and Operations.
• Translate requirements into functional/technical design documentation for GPO tools and solutions.
• Ensure alignment with GPO standards, delivery methodologies and client needs.
• Coordinate with the Technology Configurator to review configuration outputs and support issue resolution.
• Support end-to-end delivery with data migration, testing, payroll, product and implementation teams.
• Monitor progress, risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies; escalate when needed.
• Maintain documentation of requirements, designs and decisions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of GPO tech delivery.
