Job summary

LaunchDarkly is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Payroll to lead and scale the company’s payroll operations worldwide. You will partner with Accounting, Finance, People, Legal, IT and external providers to ensure accurate, timely and compliant payroll across all countries and entities.

You’ll own the end‑to‑end payroll model, drive improvements, manage vendors, and mentor a payroll team, while navigating regional regulatory changes and complex data workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive payroll experience including global payroll leadership in a multi-entity org.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, HR, business or related field, or equivalent experience; CPP preferred.
• Experience managing US and international payroll across multiple countries, pay frequencies, providers and local specialists.
• Strong knowledge of US payroll tax, year-end reporting, wage and hour considerations, benefits deductions, equity and payroll accounting.
• Hands‑on experience with payroll systems (e.g. ADP) and leading system implementations or enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end global payroll operating model, including calendars, SOPs, inputs, approvals, processing, funding, reconciliations, reporting and issue resolution.
• Lead US and international payroll operations across countries and pay frequencies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage relationships with payroll providers, EOR partners and local specialists, ensuring service quality and compliance.
• Maintain payroll controls, audit‑ready documentation, and procedures across data, tax, deductions, benefits, equity, and changes.
• Partner with People Operations and Total Rewards to ensure lifecycle events flow into payroll correctly.
• Collaborate with Accounting on reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and month‑end close.
