Job summary

LaunchDarkly is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Payroll to lead and scale the company’s global payroll operations across US and international entities, ensuring payroll is accurate, timely, compliant, efficient and employee-centered.

The Senior Manager will own the end-to-end payroll operating model, collaborating with Finance, People, Legal, IT and external providers to drive controls, automation and scalable processes for a growing global workforce.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive payroll experience, including leadership of global payroll operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, HR, business or related field; CPP preferred.
• Experience managing US and international payroll across multiple countries, pay frequencies and providers.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end global payroll operating model, incl. calendars, SOPs, inputs, approvals, processing and reconciliations.
• Lead US and international payroll operations across multiple countries and pay frequencies.
• Manage relationships with third‑party payroll providers and EOR partners with accountability for service quality and compliance.
• Establish payroll controls, audit-ready documentation, and process improvements.
• Partner with People Operations and Total Rewards to ensure lifecycle events flow into payroll accurately.
• Collaborate with Finance on reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and month‑end close.
• Coordinate with Legal and external advisors on payroll tax and regulatory changes.
• Lead payroll audits, year‑end processes and reporting.
