Job summary

Accurate Background is seeking a Senior Manager of Global Payroll to lead our payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing for employees worldwide.

You will manage a geographically dispersed team, oversee vendor relationships, audits, and reporting, and partner with Finance, HR, Legal, and IT to standardize processes and drive strategic payroll initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive payroll experience, including at least 5 years in a global payroll leadership role (US and India experience strongly preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of international payroll practices, regulations, and tax laws.
• Strong project management skills, with experience leading large-scale payroll initiatives.
• Knowledge of SOX controls, GDPR, and audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all international locations, ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically dispersed payroll team.
• Ensure payroll processes adhere to country-specific labor laws, tax requirements, and organizational policies.
• Identify and implement best practices and process enhancements to increase payroll accuracy, efficiency, and automation across all regions.
• Manage relationships with third-party payroll providers, technology vendors, and consultants.
• Oversee internal and external payroll audits, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll with other business processes and systems.
• Lead and participate in global payroll projects, including system implementations, mergers and acquisitions, and process standardization initiatives.
• Resolve complex payroll issues and inquiries from employees and management.
