Job summary

Uber is seeking a Sr. Manager, Payment Implementations to lead strategy and execution of complex payment implementations globally. This role combines Payments, Product, Engineering, and Operations to ensure reliable, efficient payment capabilities across markets.

The position requires deep payments expertise and the ability to drive initiatives from requirements through production launch, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration and scalable processes across teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in payments, fintech, or financial services, with a meaningful portion in partnership, business development, or commercial roles.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with the global payments ecosystem — card networks, acquiring, digital wallets, APMs, and regulatory landscape
• Experience leading complex technical payment implementations at a global scale

Responsibilities

• Lead payment implementations end to end across Uber's products and markets.
• Own card payment launch readiness including processor setup and production rollout.
• Drive PSP and processing implementations with partnerships, product, and engineering.
• Establish scalable implementation processes, playbooks, controls, and launch standards across products and markets.
• Define technical requirements with product and engineering, and ensure observability and readiness before launch.
• Coordinate across Payments and business teams to resolve dependencies and meet launch timelines.
• Identify and mitigate implementation risks across regulatory, operational, and customer-experience areas.
• Provide senior-level SME input on payment processing decisions and tradeoffs between reliability, cost, and complexity.
• Drive complex initiatives through cross-functional ownership and clear decision rights.
