Job summary

Transaction Network Services (TNS) seeks a skilled network support engineer to manage IP desk operations, troubleshoot TCP/IP, VPN, and MPLS networks, and coordinate incident responses. The role emphasizes customer-facing support, vendor liaison, and rigorous change management.

You will work with Cisco/Arista/Juniper gear, participate in all aspects of incident handling, and ensure service continuity for financial markets infrastructure across global data centers.

Qualifications

• TCP/IP, VPN, MPLS and routing knowledge (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP, IS-IS).
• Hands-on configuration of Cisco, Arista and Juniper routers and switches.
• ITIL Certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software and Visio.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Experience with external customers and NOC environments.
• Computer Science degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Financial Markets domain knowledge and trading data familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for global TCP/IP, VPN and MPLS networks including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP, IS-IS.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco, Arista and Juniper devices.
• Engage vendor TAC for Cisco/Juniper and coordinate with engineering.
• Second-level network and protocol troubleshooting and debugging.
• Coordinate network maintenance and change management activities.
• Provide on-call escalation support on a rotating schedule.
• Ensure incident restoration with minimal service impact.
• Operate within a 24x7 IP Desk on a global team.
