Job summary

Transaction Network Services (TNS) is seeking a skilled Network Support Engineer for its Financial Markets Global IP Desk in Georgia. You will address global TCP/IP, VPN, and MPLS issues, perform hands-on routing and switching tasks on Cisco/Arista/Juniper devices, and coordinate incident response with vendors and internal teams.

The role emphasizes customer-facing service quality, collaboration with the NOC and Technical Support Groups, and after-hours on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• TCP/IP, VPN, MPLS and routing knowledge (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP, IS-IS).
• Hands-on configuration of Cisco, Arista and Juniper routers and switches.
• ITIL Certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software, communications software, and Visio.
• Experience with external customers.
• Experience providing support for NOC environments.
• Computer Science / applicable degree, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience in a financial industry support role, preferably with a Financial Markets MSP or vendor.
• Understanding of Financial Markets (Equity, Futures, Options).
• Advanced knowledge of exchange market data and order routing protocols.
• Experience supporting multicast market data streams.
• Experience with Change Management Processes.
• 3-5 years’ experience with troubleshooting circuits.
• 3-5 years’ experience with Network Operations and Troubleshooting.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.

Responsibilities

• Provide support of global TCP/IP, VPN and MPLS networks (OSPF/BGP/EIGRP/RIP/IS-IS).
• Hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco, Arista and Juniper routers and switches.
• Vendor management with Cisco and Juniper TAC.
• Second-level network and protocol troubleshooting and debugging.
• Coordinate network maintenance and change management per policy.
• Provide on-call escalation support on a rotating schedule.
• Incident management to restore clients and networks with minimal impact.
• Work as part of a 24x7 IP Desk global team on rotation.
