Job summary

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Manager of Network Infrastructure to lead a technical 24x7 operations team responsible for maintaining large-scale network infrastructure. You will resolve complex engineering issues, manage escalations, and uphold core processes across global assets and datacenters.

The role focuses on supervising maintenance engineers, defining operations policies, and improving fault detection while coordinating with internal teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in Internet infrastructure environments, including routing and access networks.
• Experience managing technical teams, including a remote global team.

Responsibilities

• Cultivating and providing direct supervision for a group of maintenance engineers.
• Developing, document, refine and maintain operations policies, processes, procedures, and escalations to internal groups and equipment vendors
• Designing, developing, and maintaining alerts and run books to improve fault detection and operational visibility
• Evaluating technical skills of the maintenance team to ensure appropriate expertise
• Determining training needs for solutions and facilitating team training sessions
• Supporting the resolution of high-severity technical incidents and managing remote assets
