Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Global Mining Practice Business Development Leader to drive client engagement, strategic account development, major pursuits and market growth across the global mining sector.

You will lead capture planning, proposal strategy and cross-functional collaboration to win high-value opportunities. The role requires deep mining-industry relationships, a track record of growing bookings, revenue and backlog, and the ability to coordinate across HDR’s geographies to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, business or related field.
• Professional engineering, geoscience or other relevant registration, or equivalent senior mining-industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience winning high-value, multidisciplinary mining assignments and developing long-term strategic accounts in North America, Europe and Australia.
• Experience working across multiple commodities, geographies, regulatory jurisdictions and stages of the mine life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead global mining practice growth: establish and execute a global BD strategy to grow bookings, revenue, backlog and market share in priority mining markets.
• Build strategic client relationships: serve as a trusted advisor to mining companies and key partners with understanding of assets, capital programs, priorities and decision processes.
• Drive major pursuits: lead capture planning, positioning and proposal strategy for complex, high-value mining opportunities.
• Shape market strategy: translate commodity outlooks and investment patterns into prioritized account, geography and service-line focus.
• Connect integrated capabilities: align mining, water, environmental, power, transportation, infrastructure and advisory resources to client needs.
• Develop the team: coach and train client managers and pursuit teams in account planning and client-focused communication.
• Strengthen market presence: build strategic partnerships and recruit talent aligned with mining practice growth priorities.
