HDR, Inc. seeks a Global Mining Practice Business Development Leader to drive client engagement, strategic account development, and major pursuits in the mining sector.

The role focuses on growth across regions and commodities, leveraging HDR’s integrated capabilities to win high-value contracts. You will lead strategic account planning, build lasting client relationships, and coordinate cross-group teams to deliver differentiated solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, business or a related field is preferred.
• Professional engineering, geoscience or other relevant registration is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience winning high-value, multidisciplinary mining assignments and developing long-term strategic accounts in North America, Europe and Australia.
• Experience working across multiple commodities, geographies, regulatory jurisdictions and stages of the mine life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead global mining-practice growth with global strategy for bookings, revenue, backlog and market share.
• Build strategic client relationships as trusted advisor to mining companies and partners.
• Drive major pursuits with capture planning, positioning and proposal strategy for high-value opportunities.
• Shape market strategy by translating commodity outlooks and client capital plans into priorities.
• Coordinate HDR capabilities across mining, water, environmental, power, transport and advisory resources.
• Coach and mentor regional leaders and teams in account planning, relationship development and capture practices.
• Represent HDR in mining associations and client forums to strengthen market intelligence and brand visibility.
