Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Global Mining Practice Business Development Leader to drive growth across markets and expand HDR's footprint in the mining sector. This role will lead strategic account planning, build and strengthen client relationships, and shape market strategy in collaboration with HDR's multidisciplinary teams.

You will guide pursuit teams, translate commodity outlooks into opportunities, and help HDR win major high-value mining engagements on a global scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, business or related field.
• Professional registration in engineering, geoscience, or equivalents is preferred.
• Proven track record winning high-value, multidisciplinary mining assignments and developing long-term strategic accounts in North America, Europe and Australia.

Responsibilities

• Achieve bookings, revenue, backlog and pipeline goals for HDR Global Mining Practice.
• Develop and maintain a prioritized global growth plan by strategic account, geography, commodity, and service offering.
• Maintain understanding of mining-sector trends and client drivers (commodity cycles, permitting, decarbonization, energy transition).
• Lead strategic account planning for priority mining clients, including relationship mapping and opportunity forecasting.
• Coordinate across HDR groups to present integrated solutions and deploy qualified teams for mining clients.
• Establish governance, metrics and reporting for account plans, pipeline health, win rates and strategic initiatives.
