Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Global Mining Practice Business Development Leader to drive client engagement, strategic account development, and market growth across the mining sector.

You will lead major pursuits and align HDR’s capabilities across geographies and service lines to win high-value opportunities. This role requires 15+ years in mining or related sales, with advanced degree preferred, and willingness to travel across North America and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; advanced degree is an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrated experience winning high-value, multidisciplinary mining assignments and developing long-term strategic accounts.

Responsibilities

• Lead Mining Practice Growth: establish and execute a global business development strategy to grow bookings, revenue, backlog and market share in priority mining markets.
• Build Strategic Client Relationships: serve as a trusted advisor to mining companies and key partners, understanding assets, programs, priorities and decision processes.
• Drive Major Pursuits: lead capture planning, positioning and proposal strategy for complex, high-value mining opportunities.
• Shape Market Strategy: translate commodity outlooks and capital plans into account, geography and service-line priorities.
• Connect Integrated Capabilities: align HDR resources around client needs and differentiated solutions.
• Develop the Team: coach and train client managers and pursuit teams in account planning and capture management.
