Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Global Mining Practice Business Development Leader to drive growth across the mining sector for North America and global markets.

You will lead strategic account planning, build client relationships and shepherd major pursuits, coordinating across HDR's geographies and service lines. The role requires deep mining-industry experience, a track record of winning high-value contracts, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, business or a related field is required.
• Professional engineering, geoscience or other relevant registration is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience winning high-value, multidisciplinary mining assignments and developing long-term strategic accounts.
• Experience in sales and developing win strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Mining Practice Growth: establish and execute a global business development strategy to grow bookings, revenue, backlog and market share in priority mining markets.
• Build Strategic Client Relationships: serve as a trusted advisor to mining companies and key partners, with understanding of assets, capital programs and priorities.
• Drive Major Pursuits: lead capture planning, positioning and proposal strategy for complex, high-value opportunities.
• Shape Market Strategy: translate commodity outlooks and investment patterns into focused account priorities.
• Connect Integrated Capabilities: align HDR’s capabilities around client needs and differentiated solutions.
• Develop the Team: coach and train client managers and pursuit teams in planning and relationships.
• Strengthen Market Presence: build strategic partnerships and recruit talent aligned with growth priorities.
