Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Global Mining Practice Business Development Leader to guide client engagement, strategic account development and major pursuits, driving market growth across a dynamic global mining sector.

You will lead growth initiatives, shape market strategy and coordinate cross-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions. You will build and maintain strategic relationships with mining clients, partners and industry stakeholders, while mentoring teams and expanding HDR's

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant mining industry experience.
• Self-starter with a track record of independent project delivery.
• Deep knowledge of A/E/C procurement of professional services.
• Ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Ability to build a network of clients and industry partners.
• Experience in sales and developing effective win strategies.
• Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel and engage with others in person.
• Experience growing programs in new or highly competitive markets.
• Experience winning high-value contracts in the A/E/C industry.
• Experience writing compelling content from technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead global mining practice growth and bookings strategy.
• Build strategic client relationships with mining companies and partners.
• Drive major pursuits with capture planning and proposal strategy.
• Shape market strategy based on commodity outlooks and regulatory drivers.
• Coordinate with HDR groups to deploy integrated mining solutions.
• Coach regional leaders in account planning and pursuit management.
• Develop and recruit talent aligned with growth priorities.
• Represent HDR in mining associations and client forums.
