Job summary

HDR is seeking a Global Mining Practice Business Development Leader to drive client engagement, account development and market growth across a dynamic global mining sector. You will lead multi-disciplinary capture strategies, coordinate across HDR groups, and build strategic partnerships with clients and partners worldwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years relevant industry experience.
• Self-starter with limited oversight.
• Deep knowledge of A/E/C procurement of professional services.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate others.
• Ability to build a network of clients and industry partners.
• Experience in sales and developing win strategies.
• Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and desire to travel and engage with others in-person.
• Experience growing programs in new or highly competitive markets.
• Experience in winning high-value contracts in the A/E/C industry.
• Experience in writing compelling content based on information from technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a prioritized global growth plan by strategic account, geography, commodity, project life-cycle stage and service offering.
• Lead strategic account planning for priority mining clients, including relationship mapping, opportunity forecasting and client feedback.
• Build and qualify a balanced pipeline of consulting, engineering, design, program management and advisory opportunities across the mine life cycle.
• Lead go/no-go decisions and major pursuit teams with capture plans, differentiators and executive engagement plans.
• Coordinate across HDR groups and geographies to present integrated solutions and deploy best-qualified teams.
