Job summary

Transaction Network Services is seeking a Field Support Engineer to join the Global IP Desk within the Financial Markets infrastructure team. You will handle on-site technical and non-technical customer support, manage incidents, and coordinate with vendors to resolve complex routing and hardware issues.

You will work in a customer-facing role, delivering quality service and support to TNS customers, with 24x7 on-call coverage on a rotating schedule and collaboration with NOC and Technical

Qualifications

• The role requires 3–5 years of troubleshooting circuits.
• Experience with Network Operations and Troubleshooting in a NOC environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with a drive to develop skills and knowledge.
• Experience in a financial markets support role or with an MSP/VAR is preferred.
• Understanding of Change Management Processes.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 rotation and coordinate with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide support of global TCP/IP, VPN and MPLS networks (OSPF/BGP/EIGRP/RIP/IS-IS).
• Hands-on configuration of Cisco, Arista and Juniper routers and switches.
• Vendor management with Cisco/Juniper TAC.
• Second-level network and protocol troubleshooting and debugging.
• Coordinate network maintenance and change management per policy.
• Provide on-call escalation support on a rotating schedule.
• Incident management to restore clients and networks with minimal impact.
• Monitor event management systems and inbound customer communications.
• Raise and triage incident tickets, engage NOC engineers for resolution.
• Work as part of a global team providing 24x7 IP Desk coverage.
