Job summary

Transaction Network Services (TNS) is seeking a Field Support Engineer to join the Global IP Desk in the United States. The role focuses on providing on-site and remote support for TCP/IP, VPN, and MPLS networks to ensure stability of the Financial Markets infrastructure.

Primary duties include opening tickets with vendor TACs, escalating to engineering, and performing second-level troubleshooting of routing protocols while coordinating with the NOC on a 24x7 rotation.

Qualifications

• ITIL Certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of network operations experience.
• Experience in a financial markets support role is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide support of global large scale TCP/IP, VPN and MPLS networks to include OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP, IS-IS protocols.
• Hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco, Arista and Juniper routers and switches.
• Vendor management, including interface with Cisco and Juniper TAC.
• Second-level network and protocol troubleshooting and debugging.
• Coordination, scheduling and support of network maintenance and change management activities.
