Job summary

Transaction Network Services is seeking an experienced IP Desk professional to support global TCP/IP, VPN and MPLS networks. You will troubleshoot complex routing and hardware issues, coordinate maintenance, and provide escalation support on a rotating on-call schedule. A background in financial markets and ITIL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with TCP/IP, VPN and MPLS networks.
• Hands-on configuration of Cisco, Arista and Juniper routers and switches.
• ITIL Certification.
• Computer Science or applicable degree.
• 3–5 years’ experience with troubleshooting circuits and Network Operations.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Experience with Change Management processes.
• Experience in financial markets or NOC environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide support of global TCP/IP, VPN and MPLS networks (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP, IS-IS).
• Hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco, Arista and Juniper routers and switches.
• Vendor management with Cisco and Juniper TAC.
• Second-level network and protocol troubleshooting and debugging.
• Coordinate, schedule and support network maintenance and changes per policy.
• Provide on-call escalation support on a rotating schedule.
• Prepare operation readiness and handover to NOC for project acceptance.
• Manage incidents to restore services with minimal impact.
