Wurth Industry US in Louisville, KY is seeking a Buyer - Import to oversee strategic procurement of internationally sourced products. The role involves supplier selection, negotiation, and coordinating global shipments to optimize total cost of ownership and ensure regulatory compliance.

Position starts at $65K and offers autonomous decision-making within established policies. You will collaborate with Sales, Planning and Operations to sustain uninterrupted supply while driving procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3–5 years procurement experience with a focus on international sourcing, trade compliance, or import operations.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain, Incoterms, landed costs, and customs documentation.

Responsabilités

• Lead purchasing and sourcing decisions for imported materials based on demand, lead times, and cost targets.
• Issue and manage purchase orders; negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery with global suppliers.
• Monitor trade regulations, tariffs, and customs requirements for compliance.
• Coordinate with logistics to schedule and track international shipments.
• Analyze supplier performance and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Collaborate with Sales, Planning, and Operations to align procurement with business goals.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous process improvements in purchasing.
