Job summary

Wurth Industry US is seeking a Buyer - Domestic to manage procurement for key commodities, align purchasing with demand planning, and optimize costs and inventory. The role requires collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely fulfillment and continuous improvement of the purchasing function.

The position starts at 65K, with responsibilities spanning supplier performance, purchase orders, RFQs, and cross-functional process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management.
• Familiarity with forecasting, MRP systems, and end-to-end supply chain operations.
• Industry experience in distribution, manufacturing, or related environment is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for suppliers within assigned domestic commodities.
• Manage full procurement cycle by issuing and maintaining purchase orders and RFQs.
• Monitor unconfirmed and past-due purchase orders; resolve delays to ensure continuity of supply.
• Oversee inventory transfers between company locations to support operations and customers.
• Investigate discrepancies related to orders, invoices, deliveries, and product quality.
