Job summary

Wurth Industry USA is seeking a Buyer – Import to lead strategic procurement of internationally sourced materials, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with trade regulations. You will negotiate terms, oversee purchase orders, and optimize total cost of ownership across global supply chains.

This role requires 3–5 years of procurement experience, a Bachelor's in a related field, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience with international sourcing or import operations.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, Incoterms, customs documentation, and landed cost analysis.
• Experience in fasteners, MRO, or distribution is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing and sourcing decisions for imported materials based on demand forecasts, lead times, and cost targets.
• Issue and manage purchase orders; negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with global suppliers.
• Monitor trade regulations, tariffs, and customs requirements; ensure full compliance and adjust sourcing strategies as needed.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehousing teams to schedule and track international shipments.
• Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions or alternate sourcing when required.
