Job summary

Wurth Industry US seeks a Buyer - Import to manage strategic procurement of internationally sourced products. You will negotiate with global suppliers, manage POs, and coordinate international shipments while ensuring compliance with trade regulations and internal policies.

The role emphasizes autonomy in supplier selection, inventory planning, and logistics coordination. Position starts at $65K and offers opportunities to optimize total cost of ownership and support global supply chain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or related field.
• 3–5 years procurement experience with international sourcing/trade compliance.
• Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain, Incoterms, landed cost analysis.
• Experience in fasteners, MRO, or distribution preferred.
• Advanced Excel and SAP/ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing and sourcing decisions for imported materials based on demand forecasts, lead times, and cost targets.
• Issue and manage purchase orders; negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with global suppliers.
• Monitor trade regulations, tariffs, and customs requirements; ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehousing teams to schedule international shipments.
• Resolve issues related to order discrepancies, delays, and documentation; escalate as needed.
• Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions or alternate sourcing.
• Analyze purchasing data and market trends to inform decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Planning, and Operations to align procurement with business goals.
• Recommend and implement process improvements in purchasing and supply chain workflows.
