Job summary

Würth Industry USA in Roanoke, VA, seeks a Buyer – Import to manage globally sourced materials, negotiate terms with suppliers, and ensure compliance with trade regulations. You’ll guide strategy, optimize total cost of ownership, and coordinate with logistics.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3–5 years of international procurement experience, strong Excel skills, and SAP familiarity. You will lead supplier negotiations and improve cross‑functional processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience with emphasis on international sourcing and import operations.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain: MRP, inventory, Incoterms, customs docs, landed cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing and sourcing for imported materials based on demand, lead times and cost targets.
• Issue and manage purchase orders; negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery with global suppliers.
• Monitor trade regulations, tariffs, and customs requirements; ensure compliance and update sourcing strategies.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehousing teams to schedule, track, and adjust shipments.
• Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions or alternate sourcing when required.
• Analyze purchasing data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
