Job summary

Leidos Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, repair, and test complex equipment across aviation, ports, borders, and critical infrastructure. The role requires travel to customer sites domestically and internationally, and performance within a 24/7 operation environment.

Candidates should have electrical/mechanical trade experience or military training, with at least two years of field service experience and strong communication skills. TSA background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Trade experience or military training in electrical, mechanical, or related fields.
• At least 2 years directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical/electronic systems.
• Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus; able to travel on short notice.
• Must pass TSA eQIP background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer support activities involving installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
• Conduct on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order.
• Isolate equipment start-up malfunctions and take corrective action.
• Follow established guidelines, procedures and policies.
• Handle semi-routine assignments with guidance on deviations from standard practice.
• Manage resources, schedules, and coordinate repair activities to meet SLAs.
• Work in a 24/7 customer environment requiring immediate response times, including on-call after hours.
• Update work orders in CRM systems such as Salesforce, Maximo, and GURU for customers.
