Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Senior Director of Global Engineering to lead strategic and operational execution across a global engineering organization. The role focuses on capital project delivery, site engineering, automation, digital transformation, and EHS/PSM compliance to enable safe, scalable, and digitally enabled manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering and operations leadership experience.
• Experience leading global engineering organizations and capital portfolios (including programs up to $20M and expansions above $100M).
• Knowledge of GMP, ISO and regulated environments; strong PSM background.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global engineering strategy aligned with growth and sustainability goals.
• Translate strategy into objectives, governance, and roadmaps across multi-site teams.
• Own global capital portfolio including programs up to $50M and projects up to $150M.
• Drive digital transformation, IT/OT integration, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
