Job summary

Avantor in the United States is seeking a Senior Director, Global Engineering to lead capital projects, site engineering and digital transformation across a global manufacturing network.

You will own the global capital portfolio up to $50M programs and up to $150M projects, drive OEE improvements, partner with IT/OT, and develop leadership across director-level teams. This is a remote role with 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering and operations leadership.
• Experience leading global engineering orgs and capital portfolios, including programs up to $20M and plant builds above $100M.
• Strong background in process engineering and regulatory compliance (PSM, GMP, ISO).
• Experience with digital manufacturing, IT/OT integration, MES, and advanced controls.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global engineering strategy aligned with Avantor's growth objectives and sustainability goals.
• Own a global capital portfolio with programs up to $50M and projects up to $150M.
• Lead digital transformation, automation, IT/OT strategy, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Drive OEE improvements and Lean/Six Sigma across sites.
• Lead talent development and workforce planning for the global engineering organization.
