Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Senior Director, Global Engineering to provide strategic leadership across its global engineering organization. The role drives capital project execution, site engineering, digital transformation, and EHS/PSM compliance for a network of manufacturing and filtration sites.

In collaboration with the VP, PMO of Operations, the role defines strategy, governance, and execution frameworks, owning programs up to $50M and projects up to $150M.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering and operations leadership in regulated environments.
• Experience leading global engineering organizations and capital portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global engineering strategy aligned with Avantor's growth objectives and sustainability goals.
• Govern a global capital portfolio up to $150M including plant builds and expansions.
• Drive OEE performance and reliability across multiple sites through digital tools and analytics.
• Partner with IT, digital, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, scalable architectures.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to meet scope, schedule, and budget KPIs.
