Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Senior Director, Global Engineering to lead our worldwide engineering organization, aligning capital projects with corporate strategy and technology roadmaps. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and scalable, digitally enabled operations across a global manufacturing network.

You will drive capital programs up to $150M, push digital transformation, and elevate OEE performance while ensuring GMP and regulatory compliance across sites.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive engineering and operations leadership experience in regulated environments.
• Experience leading global engineering organizations and capital portfolios.
• Strong background in Process Safety Management (PSM) and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing large-scale plant builds, expansions, and brownfield transformations.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global engineering strategy across Avantor's network.
• Oversee capital programs up to $50–$150M including plant builds and site expansions.
• Drive Digital Transformation, automation, and IT/OT strategy across sites.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and drive reliability.
• Provide technical leadership in process engineering and automated manufacturing systems.
• Ensure GMP/ISO compliance and safety standards in all projects.
• Lead talent development and organizational growth within the engineering function.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align strategies and budgets.
