Job summary

Avantor seeks a Senior Director, Global Engineering to lead a global engineering organization across manufacturing sites. The role drives capital programs up to $150M, advances digital transformation, improves OEE, and aligns IT/OT strategies with business goals.

Remote with 25% travel, the incumbent will work with PMO and site leadership to enable scalable, compliant, and high-performance operations across a global network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations (or related discipline).
• 15+ years of progressive engineering and operations leadership experience in chemical, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global engineering strategy aligned with Avantor's growth objectives, operational excellence standards, and sustainability goals.
• Translate strategy into functional objectives, governance structures, and execution roadmaps across a multi-site engineering organization.
• Establish global engineering standards, design principles, and best practices to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance.
• Lead capital portfolio governance for programs up to $20M and projects up to $100M, including plant builds and expansions.
