Job summary

CloudHQ, LLC is seeking a Senior Manager, Energy to lead energy strategy for a portfolio of hyperscale data center developments across North America and LATAM. You will own energy plans from site due diligence through energization and coordinate with Development, Construction, Finance, Legal, and Operations to align energy risk and schedules.

The role requires deep knowledge of energy markets, utility interconnections, and commercial negotiations, with strong communication skills and travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years in energy, utility, power infrastructure, or related fields.
• Experience leading complex energy projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of energy markets, regulation, transmission planning, and commercial structures.
• Proven ability to negotiate utility agreements and tariffs.
• Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
• Fluent in English; Spanish desirable.
• Willingness to travel 20–30%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Energy Lead for multiple hyperscale data center projects.
• Develop and own project energy strategies from site selection to energization.
• Coordinate with Development, Construction, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Leadership to meet objectives.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and provide recommendations.
• Manage energy-related commercial negotiations and interconnections.
• Drive energy solutions including onsite generation, microgrid, and storage.
• Monitor costs, schedules, and performance KPIs.
